Well, we are finally in the bottom three - just a matter of time I am afraid. Although a week or two early I feel since we have played more games and much more games than all the other teams in the division - so with that fact along with conceding the most goals and the goal difference we also are behind in... well, bottom actually…
Saturday's home game v Eastbourne Borough was billed as a "massive" game. Funny how the word massive appears on numerous occasions... Three points was a must and if achieved we would be half way up the league but a goal behind just before half time and a second half penalty resulted in a 2-0 win for the visitors. We did not really test the opposition goalkeeper - seems the case on many games.
All the fans are crying out for a goal scorer which really would make the difference in our favour. I feel we can beat a top team but equally lose against a side near the bottom of the league.
The players look good enough to win a game. Trouble is now I feel we have to win three in a row then think about the next game mainly due to we have played more games than everyone. So it is out of our hands a bit with numerous rounds of rearranged midweek games in the next couple of months.
